DTV approved in Hanoi, Vietnam – My Process, Documents & Tips

Hi everyone!

I wanted to give back to the group by sharing my detailed process.

🔁 Timeline:

* Submitted in Hanoi, Vietnam: Monday, May 5 at 21:30

* Pending approval: Tuesday, May 7 in the evening

* Approved and received visa: Sunday, May 11 at 21:30

📄 My Application Process & Documents

I’m a part-time employee and approached the application with great care and attention to detail. I did not need a notary stamp. Instead, I submitted a well-written cover letter explaining the purpose of each document and how it supports my case.

For translations, I used google translate and for editing I used Sejda PDF

Here’s everything I included:

* ✅ Bank account confirmation—signed and stamped on official bank letterhead

* ✅ 6 months of bank statements, with 3 most recent salary payments clearly highlighted + exchange rate

* ✅ 3 payslips – original + translated

* ✅ Employment contract – original + translated

* ✅ Company certificate of incorporation

* ✅ Employer letter confirming my employment, job title, remote work approval, salary, and identifying details

* ✅ Personal letter explaining why I want to work from Thailand and confirming my commitment to visa compliance

* ✅ Vietnam entry stamp

* ✅ Hotel reservation (5 nights)

* ✅ SIM card receipt

* ✅ Boarding pass

* ✅ Screenshot of my LinkedIn profile

* ✅ Screenshots from my company’s official website, including a photo of me and my role description

* ✅ Screenshot from the official government companies’ registry, showing that my company is active, and explaining how to verify it

🟡 Pro Tips

* Treat your application as if you're building a professional case – make it easy to follow, organized, and clear.

* Highlight important details (e.g., salary deposits, job title, remote status, Name, Bank Account) in color to guide the reviewer.

* If you're not someone who enjoys this kind of detailed work – honestly, it's a lot – I highly recommend getting help from a professional or someone experienced. It will save you time and frustration.

Thanks again to this amazing community—your advice helped me a lot.

Wishing everyone smooth approvals and safe travels! 🌍✈️

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
