I want to apply for a Non-O family visa based on my Thai child from Vientiane, Laos. In the e-Visa section, it shows that I need to provide a 400,000 THB bank statement, but when I checked the embassy website, it only mentions 20,000 THB for a 90-day family visa. I am confused about whether I need to show 400,000 THB or 20,000 THB. Could you please help me? I am traveling to Laos on February 9.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking clarification on the financial requirements for applying for a Non-O family visa based on their Thai child. They are confused because the e-Visa section indicates a need for a 400,000 THB bank statement, while the embassy website states only 20,000 THB is required for a 90-day family visa. Comments confirm that generally, you must present proof of 400,000 THB or a monthly income equivalent, along with three months of bank statements. Additionally, there is an inquiry about whether an official stamped bank statement is necessary or if an e-statement would suffice.
