TLDR : Answer Summary
There is some confusion regarding the financial requirements for a Thai marriage visa. Applicants generally need to show 400,000 THB in a bank account if it is solely in their name at the time of application. However, if the funds are held in a joint account, the requirement increases to 800,000 THB, as officials consider the funds as a 50/50 split. Additionally, for certain areas like Jomtien, there may be a requirement for the money to be seasoned in the account for two months prior to the extension.

Its 400k if in a bank account in your sole name. If it was a joint account then it would be 800k as they consider
your marriage cert certainly wasn’t stamped by City Hall. Are you sure you didn’t have to get a Khor Ror 22? Certificate of family status confirming your still legally married. This is issued at City Hall and at Banglamung civic office and has been required for marriage extensions for many years.
khor ror 22 is only for if you were married outside Thailand, and then had it registered in Thailand. If you got married inside Thailand, the one you need is khor ror 2. Same same but very different.
