TLDR : Answer Summary
The required amount to show in a Thai bank account for a marriage visa varies based on the account type. If the account is solely in your name, you need to show 400,000 THB on the day of application. If it's a joint account, the amount needed is 800,000 THB, as the immigration authorities consider it a 50/50 split. Additionally, some regions, like Jomtien, require the funds to be in the account for at least two months before applying for the extension.

Its 400k if in a bank account in your sole name. If it was a joint account then it would be 800k as they consider

If you are applying for an in country visa, then 400k on the day of application, (apart from Jomtien, they want 2 months seasoning for that too).

I am doing my Marriage extension at the moment and you are correct , Jomtien require 2 months seasoning of 400,000 Baht.

They also require your marriage cert to be stamped at City Hall , which I didn't know 🤔.

your marriage cert certainly wasn’t stamped by City Hall. Are you sure you didn’t have to get a Khor Ror 22? Certificate of family status confirming your still legally married. This is issued at City Hall and at Banglamung civic office and has been required for marriage extensions for many years.

khor ror 22 is only for if you were married outside Thailand, and then had it registered in Thailand. If you got married inside Thailand, the one you need is khor ror 2. Same same but very different.
