TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers from Ireland can enter Thailand without a visa, receiving a 60-day visa exemption stamp upon arrival. To ensure smooth entry, it is advisable to have accommodation details and proof of onward travel ready, although this may not be frequently requested. Additionally, travelers should apply for a TDAC online 72 hours prior to departure for a hassle-free entry.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

72 hours before ARRIVAL. Some people have stop-overs or layovers or have a longer journey. Thailand doesn’t care when you leave but they do care when you are going to arrive.

No visa. You get up to 60 days visa exempt entry. Only thing you need is contact details of your accommodation & booked transport out of Thailand before the 60 days ends. You usually won't be asked, but best to have it, just in case

Thailand doesn't offer anything like a "30-days holiday visa". There is nothing such. There are: a 15-days VOA you can buy for 2000 THB before entering - but only for selected few nations . . . There is the 60-days STAY PERMIT you and citizens of 93 nations get stamped when you arrive without a visa. And last but not least there is the 60-days single entry Tourist Visa that gets you stamped in for 60 days. . . . if you now spend a holiday, or sighseeing, or studying, or travelling around on history's tracks, or hang around in Soi 6 lady's bars, - that's totally up to you. However it doesn't give you the right to call a tourist visa or any of the above "holiday visa"

no, I think you’re missing a point. Thailand have either tourist visa that’s valid is valid 60 days or you don’t even need a visa and you can stay 60 days without visa.

Work permit is again totally different thing

You likely qualify for visa exempt and therefore won't need any visa.

If you qualify for visa exempt you'll receive a 60 day entry stamp at the airport.
