Does anyone have any recent experience of obtaining a Criminal Record Check from the Royal Thai Police Clearance Service Centre near Siam BTS station?

Did you have to make a prior appointment or was it possible to just turn up? Also how long did the process take?

Thanks
Answer summary
Obtaining a Criminal Record Check from the Royal Thai Police Clearance Service Centre near Siam BTS station is generally straightforward. Most individuals report that you can simply turn up without a prior appointment, although arriving early is advised to avoid long waits. The process may take some time, with one commenter noting a total wait of around one hour and another mentioning they had to wait two weeks for processing. Fees may apply, with instances of being charged 1000 baht plus postage. Additional requirements might include a letter from an employer.
