FYI re STV extension if you were here before they extended the programme.

This is the information my local immigration  office (Laem Ngop in Trat) provided today to confirm we could do a 2nd extension. They play things very much to the letter of the law so it might not be the case elsewhere. Best to double check with your local office still!

Requires and costs stay the same.

NO... you must leave Thailand and if you want to get a new STV visa it must be applied for in your home country. Good Luck. BTW it's not certain that you can get a STV visa back to back.

No. Any type of tourist visa is sold only at the embassy/consulate outside of Thailand.

You can stay in Thailand for up to 270days total.

Thanx for the update, most offices play it close to the requirements (except Chiang Mai which seems to play fast and loose with them for STV's)
