Has anyone relocated to Thailand from the US and brought a dog with them? If so, I was wondering the process and costs associated with doing so. Do you need a specific visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Relocating to Thailand from the US with a dog involves several steps. First, get the dog vaccinated and perform a blood test as per Thailand's regulations. Obtain a health certificate signed by a veterinarian and stamped by the local FDA. Then, send the necessary documents to the airline. Upon arrival in Thailand, you'll need to email required documents to the Thai government for a permit and print it out for your flight. At the airport, check in your pet, pay a fee (around 500 baht), and declare your pet at customs, paying 1000 baht. Once this process is complete, you can bring your dog in and out of Thailand without additional fees.

Hi i did. In a nutshell, get ur dogs vaccinations and blood test done at the specific time. Get dr to sign off on special health cert. Get stamped ny local fda. Send docs to airline. Fly.

For thai side, email required docs to govt, receive permit. Print it out. Take with u on flight.

Once in thailand, go to baggage claim 8 with ur pet. Check in ur pet. Pay a fee (less than 500 baht or so its been awhile but its not a lot) and then declare ur pet at customs. Pay 1000 baht. U can now take dog in and out of thailand and not pay again.

I also was interested in bringing my dog over to Thailand with me. But he is on the Not allowed list as of breed. Is there anyway to get around this?
