What are the options if my 6-month Thai visa application is denied and I enter on a 45-day visa?

I am reading some conflicting information online and would like to get some info from this group. I have applied for a 6-month visa and was told I needed more financial info. I submitted the bank papers, but I have not heard back. I still hope to get the 6 month visa that will require a trip to someplace at the end of 59/60 days.

If I am denied and must come in with 45-day visa, will I be able to take a trip out of Thailand to Laos for three days, back for 45 days, and then a second trip to Laos for three days and back for another 45-day visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on their visa situation after applying for a 6-month visa and possibly needing to switch to a 45-day visa if their application is delayed or denied. They inquire about the possibility of making multiple trips to Laos for visa renewals. A comment indicates that if the 6-month visa is not approved, the user can enter Thailand on a 45-day visa exempt, extend it by 30 days, and then exit and return to obtain another 45-day visa exempt entry.

if you don't get your 6 month METV approved in time or the application is denied you could enter on a 45 day visa exempt, take the one 30 day extension on that you're allowed at the immigration office for 1900baht, exit/re-enter the country to get a new 45 day visa exempt entry and then extend that for 30 days as well.

There is no time you need to be out of the country to get a new 45 day visa exempt entry

also keep in mind if it's not approved by the time you come here, you can enter visa exempt and then IF it does get approved you can print the eVisa PDF they email you, exit/re-enter the country and show that when you stamp in to activate the visa. Many people have done that and there's no issue with it
