I will be in Athens Greece towards the end of the month and am planning on applying for a Non B visa at the Thai Embassy there.

I am planning on converting this to a 1 year extension with my new company once I get back to Thailand.

Has anyone had any experience with the embassy in Athens? Any advice on applying for a 1 year VS a 3 month?

Thanks ahead of time for any comments and advice!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to apply for a Non B visa at the Thai Embassy in Athens and seeks advice regarding the application process and the difference between a 1 year visa and a 3 month visa. One commenter suggests meeting the specific requirements listed on the embassy's website to ensure a smooth application for a 90-day single entry Non-B visa.

Meet the requirements on their website and you shouldn't have a problem getting a 90 day single entry Non-B visa

I would say, IF they'll sell you a year-long, multi-entry Non-B <- (the kind of visa you don't need to extend but need to exit/re-enter the country every 90 days for the year the visa is valid for) GET IT. Those visas are getting harder and harder to get and border bouncing every 90 days would sure be easier than getting a yearly extension.

I would say take all the documentation you can AND the kitchen sink too :P

2.3 Consular officers reserve the rights to request for additional documents as deemed necessary. <- that means they can be persnickety if they want to :O
