TLDR : Answer Summary
The post outlines a successful application process for a Digital Nomad visa at the US Embassy in Washington, including the timeline of submission and approval, documentation submitted (like check stubs and bank statements), and requirements for bank balances. Several comments seek clarification on the approval process and the necessary documentation, particularly about bank statements and the ability to use the e-visa for entry into Thailand.

Hi
@Ang***
, thanks for sharing here and congrats!

Question: Did they ask you for 3 months statements or just current statement?

that embassy just asked for current (last) statement… they actually referenced “JULY” statement. So the last month.

my husband and I applied separately as nomads bc we needed to be in Thailand soon and the dependent had to wait until the main person got approved to file for dependency w/ the same price and most same requirements and my husband and I both work remote…. We wanted to do the application together on the same day.

Can you use the e-visa to enter Thailand or will you need to physically go to the embassy to receive the visa in your passport?

Congratulations 🎉 may I ask, were you in pending approval at any time or just pending document check? Trying to get a range of what can be expected at each stage. Thanks. 🙏 and congrats again. That’s gotta feel good.

not that I know of. After asking for additional docs the approval came the same day so I very well could have been in another status momentarily but I didn’t check.
