What are the best options for applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand while currently in Malaysia?

Hello Everyone,

I am currently in Malaysia on Digital Nomad visa and I am planning to apply for DTV.

I originally saw this requirement

I certainly meet that. No issues.

I was about to apply from Kuala Lumpur but I just saw someone posting this in the group

And now I am not sure what to do.

I work for a US company (I am from Pakistan), I don't think they will hand me over their Business Registration Doc and I will be able to "Stamp" it from US embassy.

Also how (and why) they expect someone to get a long term stay in Thailand without actually getting the visa ?

I am sure everyone want's to see the place, know the area before getting a place for long term. Will they accept a 6 month AirBNB booking ? Or you need to get a lease ?

Should I apply from KL?

I am also thinking to visit Bali for 2/3 weeks and wondering if I can apply from there. (But I will be on Tourist visa there).

Any help here ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Malaysia on a Digital Nomad visa and is considering applying for a Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) from Kuala Lumpur but has concerns after seeing mixed advice from the community. They have questions about the documentation required from their US employer and whether staying in a short-term rental like an Airbnb will suffice for proof of accommodation. There are also concerns about applying from other locations like Bali or Karachi.

Anonymous participant oh that's something, I thought people could come back from Malaysia in order to get approved quickly.

Also, I gave some advice for free, but I guess you are not worth getting any free things.

KL is known to be a difficult consulate. Jakarta is more friendly

I am seeing that as well. So far, KL is the only place asking for all that extra info.

Long term Accommodation before visa acceptance ? I mean, what on earth they are thinking.
