I had non o visa for 1 year. In the meantime I took medical treatment in Thailand. I have done two time extensions on medical purpose. Now my husband got his work permit and we want to change my visa to non B dependent visa. Now what’s the process need to do and how much cost it will take to do all procedures. Thanks 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the process of changing their Non-O visa to a Non-B dependent visa after their husband received a work permit. Key points discussed include the need for documentation from the husband's employer, the potential requirement to apply outside Thailand, and the necessity of confirming if the local immigration office will allow such a change. The comments suggest that the company must support the application for the dependent visa, and if not possible, the user might need to leave Thailand to reapply.

I have been on a spouse visa for 15 years. But my wife's company is and always was, exceptionally helpful.

Talk to your local office whether they will allow you to change your reason for extension to dependant, because the medical extensions are an exception for emergency use its not likely.

However it's worth asking.

Otherwise you leave and start over.

You’ll need to liaise with your husband’s employer as they need to provide documentation to allow you to be a dependant off of his visa.

My guess is that you’d probably need to leave and apply for the visa outside of Thailand but that’s going to be dependent on the company setup and their relationship with the local immigration office.

The first step is to find out if your husbands company will support you for a dependant visa. If they won't you can't get one. Assuming they will the next step will depend on your current status. Are you still on a medical extension currently?
