TLDR : Answer Summary
To return to Thailand from the UK, you'll need to complete several steps related to visa and entry requirements, especially in light of COVID-19. First, ensure you have a current visa or apply for a Non-O visa based on your marriage or child. The most critical requirement is the Certificate of Entry (COE), which can be obtained through the Thai Embassy in the UK. Be sure to check their official updates as the situation may change frequently. Additionally, you will need to upload your visa, Covid insurance, and ASQ details along with your flight information when applying for the COE. The application process for the COE can take approximately two days once all documents are submitted.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.
Application through marriage to thai is through your local Thai embassy. Contact them and they will guide you through the process.

Go to group farangs stranded abroad on the page look for the link for the UK specific group. This is your best info for latest up to date information. Most of people in this group are inside Thailand so dont really know whats going on outside.

Most important thing is the COE. Do you have a current visa/extension or are you applying for a Non-O based on marriage/child?
. Just because you have a wife and child here, it doesn't automatically mean that you're on a visa based on marriage or a dependent. You could have a non o visa based on retirement. Which would mean that you wouldn't be allowed back in the country. So Bobby s questions was relevant.
. So if you have a current visa simply apply to the embassy for a COE. The embassy will specify what other documents you may need. Marriage certificate, birth certificate etc. As you already have a visa you can bypass that step.
