A hypothetical question, if a married couple live in Chiang Mai, and decide to relocate to Bangkok. Is there a procedure regarding transferring Immigration details (account) from Chiang Mai to Bangkok.
Or do you turn up in Bangkok at the next 90 reporting / or marriage visa renewal and wait for the excrement to hit the fan??
Thanks for any comments in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When a married couple relocates from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, they need to officially register their new address using the TM30 form. This form signifies the address change and is crucial for the subsequent filing of the TM47 form during their next extension or visa renewal. It's common practice to address the new location during the regular 90-day reporting, which can often be done online. Experiences shared suggest that moving to Bangkok should not lead to significant complications if the TM30 is filed properly.

When I moved from Pattaya to Korat I just simply registered the new address, they then pointed me to report to 90days…. To be honest the move was scheduled so that I did the 90 days as scheduled anyway. There was no complications
It's the TM30 that makes the move official, not the TM47. You won't be able to file the TM47 without a new TM30 having been filed. Then at the next extension you would bring a copy of the new address with the TM30 as part of the application.
Some offices may require the TM28 change of address form, but it's rarely used now and I don't believe Bangkok is one of the offices that uses it.
