TLDR : Answer Summary
The official site for the Elite Visa in Thailand is https://www.thailandelite.com/. Many other sites act as distributors, but this is the primary source. While the Elite Visa offers conveniences for long-term stays, opinions vary regarding its value, especially for individuals over 45, suggesting alternative options like border runs might be more cost-effective.

Elite would have told you.

There’s a Facebook group for Elite members and those thinking of being.

I considered the elite visa when I was younger than 45. After 45 the value diminishes. When it's at its biggest value its about the same as leaving every 90 days for a couple weeks. It definitely costs more than doing border bounce every 90 days.

Word of advice about asking questions in this group, you may want to ask people if they have experience ... "Anybody have the elite, which site did you go through" Otherwise you get a lot of ignorant opinions. You'll see what I mean.

The issue with "border bounces every 90 days", disregarding that they are not possible at all right now, is that they were becoming increasingly difficult in the years pre-Covid, there was a significant crackdown on people trying to "live" here on tourist visas and people were being rejected. Elite is expensive but for the under-50 it does provide a no-hassle means of living here.

Why even get an elite visa BIG waste of money and it only lets you do a few worthless things better.

why offer your useless "advice" and opinion that wasn't asked for? 🙄🤔

its a choice and actually very practicle for people who work in the offahore industry. Who cannot get to an embassy, and dont have the time to do visa in counyry.
Gerhard ***********
@Michael *******
true but for the amount of money just hire an agent for 10,000-15,000 baht instead of what? $800,000 baht

@Gerhard **********
1 million for 20 years. The agent will take you 300 000 for his service during that period. You will also have to leave 400 000 untouched in the bank which you don't need to do once you have got your elite visa. I believe the difference is worthwhile for 20 years of peace of mind

@Gerhard **********
get the wrong agent and you could end up being banned from the country you have chosen to make home

@Michael *******
never used one but lots of my friends do and never had a problem

Not if you work offshore in some out of the way place and only get a few weeks home.

My mate got ten year one and takes full advantage of limo services

24 a year normally 1500 baht, thats
*****
0 baht worth of limo services alone.

@Michael *******
never heard of limo services explain please and why live in Thailand if you only get a weeks home?
Michael ********
@Gerhard **********
24 free limos a year with Elite visa, some are unlimited

@Gerhard **********
part of the elite package including golf cart pick up and rushed through immigration.

Lots of people work offshore regularly and your rotation can be from 2 weeks to six months. My mates on a 3 week rotation.

Google offshore work

Couldn't tell you man, I've never called them. I've emailed them a couple times and took them a good week to reply to me. My understanding is the memebrs services is much better than the sales team.
