TLDR : Answer Summary
The minimum membership duration for a Muay Thai gym to qualify for a DTV (Digital Nomad) visa in Thailand has evolved significantly. Many users reported that while it was once possible to obtain a DTV visa with just a one-month membership, the current trend suggests a minimum of 6 months is now standard. Factors influencing the approval include embassy requirements for a minimum course duration and frequency of classes. Experiences shared by users indicate that longer memberships, such as 6 months or more, may be necessary to avoid visa rejections.
Please take 1 year minimum. I have had rejection with 6 months all paid for classes & they gave me an ED Visa for 3 months & told me i can extend for another 3 months if needed. Quite a bummer unfortunately π
Just to add that not only has embassies started requiring minimum 6 months course duration under the DTV Thai Soft Power, they have recently started requesting for Soft Power programs to have classes at least once per week.
We believe this may be implemented across more embassies in the future so it may be prudent to avoid programs having "too few" number of classes over the program.
The one month membership approval was easy to get last year. Now 6mths minimum plus demonstrate your long term need for the DTV to avoid rejection or given a 6 month METV.
