TLDR : Answer Summary
Currently, there is uncertainty regarding the introduction of the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for entry into Thailand. Comments from community members suggest that while it has not yet been published, a parliamentary vote is scheduled for January, with a potential implementation date anticipated around February, potentially accompanied by a new 300 baht tourist tax. Some speculate that an ETA might not be required until June.

Parliament votes on it in January. Will probably include the 300 baht tourist tax, so expect introduction in February

Nobody knows if/when.

It isn't required and the best guess is June for when it might happen...
