Just want to give some feed back to people who are wondering what its like to be back in Thailand. Thai pass is simple, extremely easy to do and I don’t think makes much difference for your trip to before covid. I landed at 7.30am and the airport was extremely simple. Showed my Thai pass and was let through. All together it took 40minutes from landing to getting out the other side! Anyone who is not sure JUST DO IT, life is short and Thailand is waiting for you 😜

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the ease of returning to Thailand with the Thai Pass, reporting a quick immigration process upon arrival. Users shared their experiences, noting fast processing times at the airport and the efficiency of the current regulations for vaccinated travelers. Several commenters mentioned the current quietness in tourist areas and the pricing of flights from the UK affecting their plans to return. Questions arose regarding entry rules for non-vaccinated individuals, with some users providing insights on the current PCR test requirements and resources for updated travel information.

Entry to Thailand for 2 Vaccinated you only need Thai Pass which has Vaccination Proof and Travel Insurance covering Covid $10,000 USD ( AXA Insurance is good ) When leaving it depends on the country you are travelling to . A good App with all the information you need is IATA Travel Pass

Arrived May 5th. Early Morning. And i was out of the immigration within probably 10 minutes including transit from the Gate, Thailand Pass checking to the Immigration Desks. Super efficient and quick. Just carry all your documents and photocopies. With all the restrictions being removed and more relaxations coming soon, it is gonna get busier and Airfare will be much cheaper than it is right now. Thailand definitely wants Tourists and all the Pre-Arrival approvals like TR Visa, Thai Pass etc were surprisingly super fast. 🙏🏻

I arrived May 3rd and tops 30 minutes from leaving the plane to getting a Taxi. Not many full planes landing at present

Not many planes landing at present. No doubt now most restrictions are over it will become busier

my Thai gf just been to hua hin it was pretty quiet and alot of businesses closed. She sent me pics of Suvarnabhumi and this looked very quiet though I imagine most Chinese and Russians won't be travelling at moment and I guess these make up the bulk of tourism in many places.I am going in June and I don't care as long as I can eat good local food and do plenty of cycling.

We will definitely be back someday but not at the prices being quoted by Airlines from the UK right now, when they get back to some sort of normal price we will be there like a shot...

no thanks, we've paid £1500 tops before now for flights and seats, now being quoted well over £2700 on all flights, looked on skyscanner, netflights and most airlines, all still over inflated prices....

where are you flying from? I paid 720£ return last week with Qatar
Julie ***********
@Carl *******
we fly from Heathrow, we are looking at December, and yes I know it's high season, but I won't pay extortionate increase in fares when the most we've paid before is £1500 (that's for 2 people including seats) or below for flights...

I go in dec every year too. It was always going to happens with flight increases due to zero travel for that long time but I’ve seen they’re like 780£ Qatar for this dec which isn’t that bad!

@Carl *******
this is a cost with Qatar just now!!! That's 2 people...

Had the same experience on our recent return from Australia, being vaccinated helped and the only delay was getting through Immigration, but expected because of the need to check all relevant documents etc, but still only about a 15 minute wait. Just under two hours from landing at Suvarnabhumi to checking into our hotel near Don Mueang airport was pretty good I thought.

yes couldn’t agree more. I see lots of people on here moaning about “Thai pass” but it makes zero difference now that you only need insurance which you’d get even without a Thai pass. Glad your experience was good! People staying away are truly missing out!

I used a Thai pass issued before the changes on May 1st and thought there may have been some confusion at check in and on arrival, but no problem. Was able to cancel the ASQ hotel and associated transport and PCR test, no issues.
