DTV application in NYC

Hi guys. I have applied for my DTV some 6wks ago Through the agency.  I haven’t heard back yet .  Is that something people is experiencing now?

Just to clarify, agents cannot expedite DTV applications submitted outside of neighboring countries.

What we can do is ensure everything is submitted properly, using the correct formats, with all required documents, and tailored to each embassy’s specific expectations. Requirements and review focus can vary from one embassy to another. In some cases, we may be able to reach out to support channels for individual embassies, but this rarely leads to a significant reduction in processing time.

That said, based on our last 20 approved cases for NYC, the average turnaround time for the New York consulate has been around 3 weeks. Some cases took up to 7 weeks, but none exceeded 8.

We recommend confirming that your agent has actually submitted the application by checking the submission date and ensuring they have responded to all embassy emails or requests for additional information.

I haven't heard of anyone waiting that long. Can you actually login to the e-visa portal and see the status of your application?

Thanks. It’s the Siam Legal. That seems connected to the Government agency.

I can almost guarantee you that Siam Legal has absolutely zero connection with embassies. Agencies in Thailand have connections in immigration offices, not in embassies.

I asked the agency and they said NYC has a long log 🤷‍♂️

It can take a month in the US but 6 weeks is longer than the norm. You should check your status online and contact the embassy yourself. Don't rely on the agent.

You have to login for your own account to the e-visa system. If the agency created an account for you then you can't do it. But if you didn't submit your own application it sounds like there's a chance you were scammed. I would request proof of the application.
