My last question on here so many of you were very helpful.... so trying again with another 😅... I applied for a nonO immigrant visa to the Royal Thai embassy in London on the 4th June.... here we are now on the 10th June, heard nothing and the status on the website is saying Pending Document check. I tried calling several times today, after 10 minutes on hold ...some robot tells me there is a technical fault and try later🫣... I fly out to Thailand on the 15th june... should I be worried? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user applied for a non-O immigrant visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in London on June 4, but by June 10, the application status is still listed as pending. They are concerned about flying to Thailand on June 15. Community members advised allowing up to three weeks for processing, suggested contacting the embassy via Facebook or email, and recommended applying earlier in the future. Some shared personal experiences of waiting times and urged caution regarding submitting applications too close to departure dates.

also last week there were 2 bank holidays in Thailand at least Schools government offices were closed both Monday and Tuesday if the embassy follows thai public holidays that could make the process longer

You cut it too close to your departure date. You should have submitted it earlier to allow enough time to correct anything if they needed more information.

I was at the embassy today getting my daughter’s passport and I had also applied for a non o visa on the 5th. I asked them and they said I would receive an email next week. Hope this is helpful and you get good news soon.

The website does say it can take up to 15 days to process visa applications so hope they are on the ball and not in Thai time...fingers crossed 🤞

working days law time I applied for visa in London it it came in about 5 total. Was surprised how quick it came.

The only thing to "worry" about is if they suddenly decide they wish to interview you! Bit difficult if you're out of the country, and you kiss goodbye to your application fee!
Paul **********
You are recommended to apply for a visa at least 4-8 weeks before the travel date but do not submit your application more than 3 months before your departure date.
Paul **********
You should allow 3 weeks for London to process your application.

Try messaging them on Facebook. Might sound weird but they actually reply there for many of the embassies. Just send a single message and include everything they need. Your name, passport number, visa application number, and then concisely describe your concern about your departure date and that your application is still pending.
