What has been your experience with booking an appointment at Chiang Mai Immigration?

Has anyone successfully done a booking there lately.?
I've tried just after midnight and absolutely no slots in any category.
In other northern provinces there is lots of slots available. But non in Chiang Mai.

I've never managed to get an appointment at Chiang Mai IO so I just rock up early at around 07:15 and join the document checking queue. I'm usually done and dusted by about 10:30.
Oh, and to update my passbook, I go the KBank on Suthep road at 07:00 where I make a small withdrawal then update my bank book at the PUM and head straight through Wing41 to the IO.

I know in Bangkok at 12:01AM the next days appt's (a month out) come up for booking (so today the 15th of May the 15th of June would come up).
Also in Bangkok you can only book an appt 30 days in advance max (as that's all they open for booking).
Chiang Mai uses a different booking system/format. I don't know how theirs runs.. In looking at the Chiang Rai booking (which uses that same system) I see you can book up to June 12th right now
I'd post in a Chiang Mai group and see what people say up there. You might have to just show up and queue up with the zombie horde :O
