What's the actual cost for registering a 2M capital company in thailand ( Pattaya ) as a foreigner.
Answer summary
Registering a company with a capital of 2 million baht in Pattaya involves various costs. Estimates suggest costs between THB 70,000 to THB 100,000, including attorney fees for drawing up articles of incorporation (approximately THB 70,000) and business licenses (less than THB 1,000). Monthly bookkeeping may add costs ranging from THB 17,000 to 25,000. Additionally, foreigners can own only 49% of the company unless they qualify under specific treaties. It's advisable to consult a lawyer for detailed requirements and costs.

The actual cost is about bt70,000 for an attorney to draw up the articles of incorporation, then less than bt1000 to get the business licenses. Setting up the business itself isn't very expensive. Getting your work permit is where it gets expensive, with the required bt2million in registered capital needed, no matter under what model you set up the business. If not under the BOI, or for an American under the Treaty of Amity, you'll also need at least four Thai employees on the payroll, and only owning 49% of your business.
