Re: Application for extension of stay

Good morning

I have to go to Chaeng Wattana for my extension of stay (I'm currently on a Non B visa and have a work permit) by 4th of December.

I have been given incorrect info by my school more than once and just wanted to make sure I get it right this time!

My school have given me a TM47 form and I just wondered if this was the correct form and are there any other requirements; photos, copies of passport etc?

Thanks in advance.

P.s I did search around first but couldn't find the info I'm looking for and thought it would be wise to check with ever changing rules :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking clarification about the extension of their Non-B visa as they prepare to visit Chaeng Wattana. They mention receiving a TM47 form from their school and inquire about its correctness and additional requirements such as photos and copies of their passport. Community comments suggest that the TM47 is actually related to 90-day reporting and that they should use the TM7 form for their extension, along with necessary documents including school papers and work permit copies.

Ok thanks for all your comments but think I have made a balls up as usual. I'm 99% certain it's for 90 day reporting

, totally free (y)

I'd show up around 9 or so to miss that pre-queuing stuff before they open. I bet you'd be out by 10 that way. They crank thru the people at that 90 day desks. It shouldn't take you that long ;)

How much is the 90 day report? I thought it was possibly free - is that correct?

Thanks for that only probelm is I don't start work till 12 tomorrow, my day off is Thursday and didn't want to waste that, so looks like I'm waiting. I assume though if I'm there early I should have a better chance of getting out earlier - famous last words...

@Gord ******
actually for a 90 day report getting there very early is a BAD thing to do. You wanna show up in the early afternoon. I was there last month at 2:30 and there was NO ONE in the 90 day reporting room at all :O It was completely empty of customers.

This morning when I did a few 90 day reports there were about 60 people in there by 9:00 :/

Thanks I aim to get there very early in order to get away in good time anyway

@Go**
, sorry I missed it too :/ ,

the upside is once you do one 90 day report in person you get yourself into the data base and you can then use the 90 day online reporting program for your subsequent reports.

Sorry Tod I did post a further reply to Robert to say it's my first 90 day report at Chaeng Wattana. I do often get mixed up with all the jargon...

well, there's an easy way for you to tell what you're gonna be doing out there. :)

Look in your passport and see when your extension exipres and look on your previous 90 day report receipt and see the date your next report is due.. ;)

BTW: "with ever changing rules", Immigration act is from 1979 and there are some changes but not on the basis as you mention.

TM47 is the form used for alien to notify of staying longer than 90 days. Not for Extension Of Stay,

No it will be my first time for a 90 day report

Your passport and if you did it before the small paper attached to your passport. No problem with mixing things up, it happens to many people.

Robert as I said, apologies but I've got it wrong as usual! It is 90 day reporting so I do have the correct form TM47. Are there also any other requirements? Thanks

TM47 is for 90 day reporting, what you need is TM7, which is for yearly extension of stay... you should include all the school papers and your copies of workpermit.
