Is it advisable to apply for a Thai visa now with 500k baht in my account, or should I wait 90 days?

My current situation 👇🏼

- studied at language school 2x already (2023 + 2024)

- have 500k baht in account (for last 30 days)

- applying in Hanoi

Is it worth it to even apply now? Or should I wait 90 days for the 500k to sit in my account? Also, is applying for a “soft power” dtv rejected more often than having your own company?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering applying for a Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) but is unsure if they should apply now or wait another 90 days for their 500,000 baht to meet the financial criteria. Comments suggest waiting to fully meet the 90-day requirement might be advisable, while also discussing the potential risks of applying prematurely.

Why closing down your company for the next 5 years?

You already closed it for the last 2 years?

Or does it give a special kick to work illegal in Thailand, if so why bother with the wrong dtv there are much cheaper options.

Why would a person be worried that a DTV workcation get rejected if the person does not qualify for a visa with that purpose?

Anonieme deelnemer Your question what is more rejected, soft power or your own company suggests you have an own company, but you are right, you did not say so.

I waited until I met the 90 day criteria. If you dont mind losing the money and getting declined. Give it a go!

Based on my own experience and what agents have told me, Hanoi isn't a good place, especially since you still have 2 years of language school left

I don’t have 2 years of language. Reread.

I did 2 years of school — in 2024 and 2025. I already finished.
