TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK resident over 60, married to a Thai citizen, considering a semi-retirement of 6 months in Thailand could apply for a NON-O visa, which is suitable for retirees and is often recommended for those in similar situations. This visa allows for extended stays, typically for those married to Thai nationals.
