What is the best proof of location document to use for the Sydney embassy?
Applying for my DTV from my home country (Australia) since I'm here visiting family until the end of January.
Thing is I'm no longer a resident here (I work in Hong Kong). I'm going to use my valid Australian driver's license. Will this be enough?
Because when I'm here in Sydney I live with my parents and don't have utility bills under my name. Ones under my name are bills in HK.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV from Australia while being a non-resident, using your valid Australian driver's license as proof of location is generally accepted since it contains your official address. Other options include providing a statutory declaration witnessed by a JP, or documents such as vehicle registration, phone bills, or tax statements that show your address. Some expats have also successfully used travel documents like boarding passes and hotel reservations.
I have used my driver's license as proof of address twice when applying for tourist visa in Australia with no problems. 2nd time it was expired and still worked.
I used my Australian driving licence which has your official address on that you have to change by law if you move, so yeah it's an official address document.
You could also do a stat dec declaring your address and get it witnessed by a JP if you want to go the extra mile.
