Hello, guys!

I have a question. Now I have a second ED visa for Thai language which will expire on 13th of March.

I'm going to border-run on 13th with the agency and they told me that I have to cancel my visa at the immigration first even if it's expire the same date. And I've heard that for russians only Cambodia is ok for border-run.

But my school told me that Cambodia isn't good for that and better go to Laos without agency.

Does anyone know smth about it?

Where better to go for russians?

Answer summary

The user is seeking advice on where to go for a border run since their second ED visa is expiring on March 13th. There are conflicting opinions on whether to travel to Cambodia or Laos for this purpose, particularly for Russian nationals. It's advised to cancel the visa at immigration before the border run and to acquire a letter from the school regarding the visa status.

then the agency is correct, you won't get out at ANY land border until you take a paper from your school saying your stopping on xxx date, go to the immigration office and get the extension cancelled. They will give you a new stamp that lets you stay until the date on the paper from the school.

THEN you can border bounce.

If you're going with an border bounce agency they will know where you can and can't cross.
