Hi guys, wanting to travel to Bangkok for 2nd time but this time as a solo traveller. I have found a Airbnb for 500-700$ AUD for a month.

What would a good amount of money be to have to last a month comfortably? Plans would just be travelling around the city and streets via taxi & metro. But odd nights / weekends would be wanting to go and explore the night life. 🙂

TLDR : Answer Summary
When planning a solo trip to Bangkok for a month, the budget can vary based on lifestyle and activities. Many commenters suggest budgeting around 30,000 THB to 100,000 THB for the month, depending on spending habits and whether you plan to indulge in nightlife or use public transport. Daily expenses might average between 300 to 4,000 THB for food, transportation, and entertainment. Staying near public transport can help save on travel costs, and enjoying local street food can further stretch your budget. It's important to budget some extra for tours or experiences, aiming for a comfortable trip rather than an overly frugal one.

Do a quick calculation.

Well meals you can get for 40 baht, but guessing more touristy 100-150 baht a meal should be enough to budget.

So say 450 baht for food. Maybe splurge get all you can eat Korean bbq for 300 baht.

Beers around 80b per at bars, 50 baht ish for coffee/tea at cafes.

Travel around probably one of the bigger costs, stay near train line if you're in Bangkok. I'd say if you go around a lot and don't take public transport set aside 200-400 a day for it.

Tourist attractions a couple hundred baht to enter maybe, just check the places.

honestly general food and drinks I get by under 300 a day comfortably

Depends on how luxurious you wanna live and if you're not afraid to eat real local

The reality is -Once you have paid for the air fares -Hotels can be cheap or expensive (depending on what you want ?Eating out is very reasonable .Street food is very good and well priced ( Please be assured that is good ) locals eat it .Do a bit of Research and you will enjoy it more . Good Luck .😀

Just budget 4000 THB per day if you can worst case you have some over later. For getting around get Grab application ✌

Lawd that's a lot of money. If you're not being retarded with your money you can easily do under 1000 THB a day.

you can stay in a temple for free also. He does state travelling around and comfortably. He doesn't mention if he want to fine dine or cook home. The whole point of a budget is cover excess also. Maybe he takes some tours? Meet people and take a domestic trip?

30K THB for a month in Bangkok unless you work and live there is quite little...

$1,000 usd would be more than enough if you’re not going out and drinking more than one or two nights a week.
