TLDR : Answer Summary
The cost of Thai insurance is estimated to be around 1,000-1,050 THB for a month's coverage, based on various comments from users who obtained insurance through different sources, including the Thai Embassy. As for attractions in Bangkok, opinions vary widely, with some asserting that Bangkok is a major tourist destination with numerous sites to see, including temples and vibrant markets. Others suggest that it's more about activities rather than traditional tourist sites, and some even find the city less appealing compared to places like Chiang Mai or Phuket.

If you don’t visit temples n shop cheap n like night life, there is nothing much to do for BKK , except for - floating market, WW2 River Kwai, safari world, Siam underwater world aquarium, Mahanakorn glass walk …that’s all I remember 🤣🤣

"is there enough to see in Bangkok" is really a ridiculous question. Is there enough to see in London? In Tokyo? In New York? Surely you know Bangkok is one of the major global tourist destinations. I would understand if you were asking about Samui or Bristol or Denver, but asking about it for Bangkok is a bit bizarre.

I lived in Thailand 🇹🇭 for 2 years. I never saw Bangkok as a tourist destination “to see”. There are a few things to see. There are lots of things to “do”. To me the tourist places are Chiang Mai and Phuket and some other beaches.

Got mine last night thru the Thai Embassy (Los Angeles) website - 60 days worth, for 1,050 THB. . .

I’ll let others say about insurance. A guess is about 1,000 baht for a months worth.

How could anyone possibly answer the second part of that question. People have lived in Bangkok for years and still not managed to see all the stuff that’s good to see. It really depends on what you want to see. There’s loads of temples, loads of street markets, loads of other tourist stuff. There’s probably loads of stuff you may not even want to see (or maybe you do).
