Hi I am British and looking to get a 60 day visa for Thailand form the consulate in Hanoi. I was wondering if anyone has done this recently and can shed some light on price, what you need to provide etc. I am planning on travelling to Thailand via land border. Thanks

Answer summary

A British traveler is seeking information on obtaining a 60-day tourist visa for Thailand from the consulate in Hanoi. Specifically, they are inquiring about the costs and required documentation. Respondents indicate that proof of 20,000 baht in a bank account and onward travel is necessary, and that the consulate only accepts US dollars for the visa payment. Further information can be found on the official Thai embassy website.

How you leave Thailand to go to the Thai consulate has no bearing on the requirements that consulate it asks for as far as documentation
