What Happens to My Non-O Visa and Re-Entry Permit If I Can't Return to Thailand Before It Expires?

I'm in Australia and obviously now I cannot return as my flight was cancelled. As my 90 day Non-O Visa based on marriage (obtained from Savannakhet mid January) expires on the 14th of April, I guess I'll have to start again from scratch when I'm able to return after everything calms down?

I have a re entry permit but I gather that will be null and void after the visa expires?

I am I correct in assuming the outcome or it's probably too early to tell?

Has anyone heard of any revelations in the wind?

I know there's no such thing as a crystal ball but just throwing it out there.

TIA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Australia and unable to return to Thailand due to a canceled flight. They have a 90-day Non-O Visa based on marriage that expires on April 14. They are unsure if their re-entry permit will become void after the visa expires and are seeking clarity on their situation.

I believe that you and I have the same Non-0 Multi based on marriage to a Thai. They are both valid until 14 January 2021, but we must leave Thailand (border hop) by 14 April 2020. As you are in Australia now, your next step will be to re-enter Thailand when circumstances allow and before 14 Jan next year. Your visa doesn't expire until the 12 months is up, subject to leaving the country every 90 days.. Your NEXT 90 days will begin when you return from Australia, and you will then need to border hop again 90 days after that.

it would be nice if that was the case but I only got the single entry as I was going to extend it at the Saraburi office when I got back from Aus. So I'll take Tod's advice and see if I can get a Non- O here.

WHEN does the 90 day ENTRY STAMP you got when you entered the country on the Non-O visa expire?

Sorry, I mis-read

yep you gotta get IN by then or you start all over again. I'd say if it's gonna be after that date see if you can get the Non-O from one of the thai consulate in Australia before you come back
