Hey there,
Visa question - how long can I stay in Thailand while continuing to extend visas? I arrived beginning of Dec/22 from Canada (I am Canadian) and got a 45 day stamp which I extended another 30. I did a border hop to Laos and have my 45 days expiring March25/23. Is it true I can stay 6 months? Do I just keep going back to immigration and border hopping (air and land)?
I am hoping to stay up until mid July (7.5months) so does that mean I need to leave 1.5months and if so - does it matter when? Curious if they give 182 days (6 months) even if I leave midway through the 45 or 30 days stamps to go to other countries?
Any information on this would be super helpful, thank you naa khaaa š
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks about the duration they can stay in Thailand through visa extensions and border hops after arriving in December 2022. They want to know about the possibility of staying for seven and a half months and inquire about the specifics of borders hops, potential visa types, and entry regulations. Community responses suggest the user can do border crossings with limits on land hops, and recommend considering a tourist visa for a more stable solution.
