Hello everyone,

is there a limitation how often you can extend your visa per year?

Someone told me it’s just possible twice per calender year to extend at the immigration office.

Online I found sth that said: you can extend every (new) entry for 30 days.

Thanks for your support!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the confusion regarding the limitations on visa extensions in Thailand. According to responses, there is no strict limit on the number of visa extensions per year as each entry qualifies for an extension. It is important to clarify the type of visa when inquiring about extensions, as specific rules may apply based on the visa type, such as a 60-day Tourist Visa.

What got you confused is… in any calendar year, you can do 2 land border entries into Thailand and each entry can get an extension.

In any calendar year, you can do an unlimited number of entries by air and each entry can get an extension.

Please in future give the full details, in this case what Visa you are trying to extend (in this case probably a 60 day Tourist Visa entry as you mention 30 days, a Tourism extension of stay)

There is no limit on extensions. You get one per entry.

If you can get in you can get an extension
