Todd Daniels I come in on 22 november 2017 on metv, stretched until 16 july 2018,then got a single entry tourist visa in penang until 18 september, which I tought of extending for another 30 days in samui and then fly home to Italy. I was told that I can have big time problem exiting the Kingdom, because I stayed longer then 9 months, even on regular visas. Like arrest, detention, red stamp, bla bla. What is your opinion please?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, Todd, inquires about potential issues he might face when exiting Thailand after spending over 9 months in the country on various visas. Comments from other users reassure him that he has not overstayed his welcome and that there are no official rules limiting the total time one can spend in Thailand during a specific period, as long as he departs before his visa's expiration. Several commenters dismiss fears of detention or penalties at exit, suggesting that misinformation is common regarding immigration rules.
I did not leave Thailand since 12 Aug 2015. Reading staying legal for 9 months get you arrested, detention, red stamp, bla bla, I guess I go directly in front of the firing squad.
I believe they are only talking about that mythical made up rule that immigration officers at passport control are saying no more than 6 months in a year in thailand on tourist visas or visa exempt entries.
I don't think that applies to people on yearly extensions ;)
