Hi, DTV Soft Power London embassy asking for help with best chance of approval with request for further Docs....
I have a 12-month Cooking Course.
I will be living with my fiancee who works full time in Thailand.
I have been doing some part-time work in the UK but not planning to work in Thailand so I ticked 'Unemployed' for the application.
I have the 500,000THB in savings that I have provided them with the statements for.
As I won't need to pay rent, I plan to use this to support me throughout the year. That's over 44,000THB a month so seems reasonable to me.
My question is, why are they asking for work info? What should I say in the letter?
Here's what they asked me for:
* Other request documents: A letter introduce yourself and explain your occupation, source of income, and how this would financially support yourself during your stay in Thailand together with a proof of earning eg. Employment contract / Payslip or Invoice (last 3 months)
* Other request documents: Please upload your UK/Ireland bank statement showing your monthly income deposits / client-billed payments transactions (*Please highlight) for last 3 months (July-Sep 2026). Recommend you to provide in full pdf file download from Bank App please.
* Other request documents: E-Ticket(s) (all flights from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand). Kindly download E-ticket from the airline's official website or E-ticket Receipt . You are recommended to provide a refundable flight ticket at least 4 weeks in advance if possible.
* Other request documents: A letter to acknowledge that you will remain in UK/Ireland until visa processing done before travel out . E-Ticket/Rescheduled E-Ticket and/or interview may asked. Processing time may take up to 15 working days or longer after all request(s) submitted.
Appreciate any advice for anyone that's gone through London since they changed the process.
