TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers must be prepared to show multiple documents including the Thai Pass, health insurance, hotel bookings, and taxi arrangements, as airlines thoroughly check all documentation to avoid penalties for any entry issues once in Thailand. Even if the Thai Pass implies approval, inconsistencies or mistakes can lead to added scrutiny and complications. Travelers are advised to carry printed copies of all required documents due to these strict checks by airlines.

Taxi booking included ASQ Hotel . You can not have separate private taxi. How they know where you go then.

Finnair said to me that every Airline asking all dokuments again, even you have Thai Pass. Why? Because they have huge penalties if they let anybody trough and later something goes wrong . So they don’t

believe some Thai Pass. And at the counter they sure fired stuff if this happens. And they know it very well . If I’m running airline, I never believe some online “pass” for sure when they is so big risk to pay a lot.

Yes they want all originals because in 2021 if your a computer wiz you can make anything look real, and they not trying to get sued. If I was a airline I would need your dna lol

Thais love paperwork. Bring all copies of every required document. I am even taking copies of email correspondence I had with my test and go hotel to set up the taxi and test with the package

Must carry with you printed copies of all required documents for visa and Thailand Pass.

If there's anything wrong and you get refused entry to Thailand, the airline is penalized. So they will always check everything thoroughly.

but a Thailand pass printed out mean everything is approved and done

not to the airline...they have right to see all documents.

Thailand Pass makes mistakes all the time. People here are constantly saying that they forgot to include something but it still got approved. Even in your own example the date was wrong on something but it still got approved. This is why the airline checks, to cover themselves. They're not going to trust someone else.

A mistake by Thailand Pass would absolutely not be the airline's responsibility (just as it wouldn't be their responsibility if an immigration officer at a port of entry determined that a visa had been issued in error).

The problem is that Thailand announced with great fanfare that holders of Thailand Pass QR codes would only need the code and the PCR test result for entry, but failed to have IATA update the Timatic database to reflect that. So you now have airline personnel being told by their computer that they have to check the same documents for Thailand Pass as they did for COE, even though that isn't the policy of the Thai government at all. The issue has been pointed out again and again since TP began on November 1, and Thailand hasn't even commented, let alone done anything about it.

so if someone is denied entry through no fault of the airline, who is responsible for returning them back to their country of origin? I can guarantee you that Thailand won't be paying for that flight

departure airline want to see everything because, if you land and end up not having something, they are liable to fly you back at their own expense.

really wish royal vacations told me this all they did was send the thai pass and says it’s been approved

@Del *********
tbh, you didn’t need an agency to do it all for you. All very simple… I have heard of quite a few reports of agencies making mistakes or scamming. I may set up a U.K. based agency seeing as so many do not want the hassle and it’s only a 30 minute process to arrange everything. Do you mind if I ask what you paid?

Royal Vacation provide a complete package of which the Thai Pass is only one part. They provide the following…

Thai Pass

1 night Hotel

Taxi pickup

1 x PCR on way to hotel

Covid insurance of fir the required minimum of $50k

@Nick ******
yea but it’s all so easy and quick to do yourself. I did the process twice in the last month as I traveled to Thailand twice.

@Karim **************
Yeah you’re absolutely right, it is easy if you have the know. Some people just aren’t computer literate, lazy or time poor and this is where a done for you service appeals. The whole package is approx 10,000 bht, so it doesn’t cost that much more to let someone else take all the pressure off and arrange everything for you.

If you can set something up, there is a need for help.

@Panama ******
as it is usually.

Yeah thai pass is supposed to replace all that but backups can’t hurt.
