Hi - from New Zealand, here on a Non Imm O (Thai Spouse) Visa granted 90 days on arrival expiring 3 December. I intend to extend this by the 60 days allowable and just wanted to ensure I have my documentation in order. I will visit Immigration in Chiang Rai on 16 November (is this too late?) and as far as I can ascertain need my passport, copy of bio page, current visa, and entry stamp, 1 x photo, completed TM7 form in blue pen, copy of TM30 notification made online, and 1900 Baht. Anything I might be missing? Cheers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, originally from New Zealand, is seeking advice on extending their Non Imm O (Thai Spouse) Visa before it expires on 3 December. They plan to visit immigration in Chiang Rai on 16 November and have gathered most of the necessary documents. The comments suggest they will need proof of relationship, marriage documents, and to bring their spouse along for the extension process. Additionally, they are advised that it's acceptable to apply for an extension with limited time remaining on their current entry stamp.

You need to have proof of relationship if you want to apply for 60 day visiting Thai family extension. General information is here, but check with your local immigration office. You can, but don't have to wait until the last minute because the extension will be added to your current stamp

Umm, you're getting a 60 day visit thai family extension so you're going to need to have all the marriage documents, copies of your wifes thai i/d and house book listing, AND you take your wife with you <- seeing as she's the reason you are getting the 60 day extension

You can go when you have 30 days or less left on your current 90 day entry stamp.

Just curious are you hear on a single entry Non-O visa or a year-long multi-entry one? I ask because if it's a year long multi-entry you can just go to the border, stamp out of thailand, stamp in and out of Lao, turn around and stamp back into thailand for another 90 day entry stamp

on a year long multi-entry and live 40km from Chiang Khong, so this is definitely an option. Thanks for the suggestion.

The easy thing to do
@Brendon *****
is to bounce out and back at Chiang Khong, get a new 90 day stamp ๐Ÿ™‚ save that 60 day visit thai family extension for when you really need to use it and can't bounce.
