Hello,

I have a ‘ married to thai multiple entry visa’ and my first 90 days are nearly over. During Covid it is possible to make a request to stay another 60 days, without leaving the country. What papers will i need to ask an extension of my stay at the immigration in Bangkok?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your married to Thai multiple entry visa by 60 days during COVID-19 at the immigration office in Bangkok, you will need to prepare several documents: your passport with copies of the data, latest visa, recent stamp, and departure card; a TM30 form; relevant application forms (specific to the immigration office); a letter from your embassy if applicable; two passport photos; and a fee of 1,900 THB. Note that the extension must be applied for at the Main Immigration office at Chaengwattana. Different immigration offices may have varying requirements, so it's advisable to check beforehand.

Apply covid extension then seeing family extension. Family extension will require Thai marriage paper work.

@Nat***
I have seen immigration offices issue the 60 day family extension with just the foreign marriage certificate IF you're married abroad, but I'm sure it's an immgiration office specific thing.

It's the year extension that requires you have the Kor Ror 22 (register the marriage of a thai abroad in thailand) form

You may apply for 60days Covid unable to travel extension (as
@Benj****
stated above) OR 60days visiting Thai family extension.

BTW I'm wondering if Immigration office tell you to apply 60days visiting Thai family extension first or not.. just because some immigration office tell to newly coming TR status holders to apply 'normal' extension first.

AND you go to the Main Immigration office at Chaengwattana to get that extension NOT the alternate one at Muang Thong Thani..

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy saying they don’t issue the letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport
