TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your TR visa by 60 days in Thailand with COVID permission, you need to prepare specific documents, including: your passport and copies of the data page, most recent visa and stamp, and departure card; a TM30 form; immigration forms (which vary by office); a letter from your embassy regarding return or proof they don’t issue such letters; two passport photos; and a fee of 1,900 THB. Note that some offices may have additional requirements.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy saying they don’t issue the letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport

any idea what happens if I can't seem to find my departure card? 😳

you can file a police report saying it’s missing. You’ll take the police report to the immigration office and they would give you a new departure card.

It is free.

I believe they want everything that I listed from 1 to 6. If your embassy doesn't issue a letter, or you can't get ahold of them, then you don't need to submit that document.
