I applied for DTV as remote worker at LA consulate mid March and around 10 days later got a request for more documentation. It’s been more than 30+ days now after submission with no update. I emailed them already 3 weeks post re-submission and still no update on the application. Still says ‘pending document check.’ If I get accepted, great. But, if I get rejected, can I walk into a consulate in Taiwan and apply there as a US citizen? It’s unfortunate that the LA consulate has taken as long as it has because I’ve heard from others that the Thai consulates in other parts of the US are processing at a much faster rate. Any advice will be appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has applied for a Digital Work Visa (DTV) as a remote worker at the Thai consulate in Los Angeles but is facing delays in processing. They are seeking advice on whether they can apply for a Thai visa at a consulate in Taiwan if their application in the US is rejected. Community members have advised that the application must be processed online via the e-visa system and that they cannot apply in person at any Thai embassy or consulate.
Literally happened to me too girl I also applied to the LA consulate and I waited almost 4 weeks for them to get back to me after I uploaded the documents they requested and now they are asking for 3 of the same documents I already uploaded.
