Hello! I’m planning to apply for a soft-power DTV via Kuala Lumpur embassy next month. Does anyone know what to do for this “required documentation”; I’m unemployed at the moment and haven’t had any income in the last 6 months.
Do they just want to see my bank statements or will this be a deal-breaker?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the documentation required for applying for a soft-power DTV visa at the Kuala Lumpur embassy while being unemployed. Comments suggest that bank statements are necessary, and some users recommend applying in other countries like Indonesia or Vietnam instead of Kuala Lumpur due to difficulties experienced by others.
As Tod has mentioned most reports indicate that one should avoid the Embassy at KL. Go elsewhere - Indonesia, Vietnam etc. Some require an appointment.
They definitely want to see it and they told me that they cannot process my documents if I don’t have official documentation stamped via my country’s embassy. Even though I had an official contract and other supporting documents, But I also was applying for remote work/digital nomad. But the others that applied while I was there were turned away.
