What should I expect after completing the TM30 submission for my address registration in Thailand?

I just moved homes and live with my in-law family. I need to do TM30 and helped my mother in law getting registered and we were able to submit me via the mobile app. submission done.

Now do I get a confirmation? Do I get a document?  Or this is it?

Also have been told I could use this for myself as proof of address. I need this to setup an investment account.

I think you've been told wrong, and I've never ever heard of any place using a TM30 as proof of address for anything. 😕

You would go to the immigration office and apply for a certificate of residence here OR you would get one from your embassy (if they offer it).

nope, you go in person and at least in Bangkok you have to have filed ONE 90 day report in order to get a certificate of residence issued

totally NOT a thai visa thing at all and you aren't gonna get permanent residence until you have three unbroken years of yearly extensions of stay based on working here making the minimum salary required. You get ONE break in that history and it re-sets the 'clock' toward your time to apply for PR

Ok it is getting complicated. I just moved from Pattaya to Udon. So I did the tm30. Now I need to do the change of address procedure at immigration (seems you need to go in person first time for 90 day reporting if you move and do which I didn't) then I can go for proof of residence. Hard if you need to work and get all this done in person 😃

You can make a print screen, there is no confirmation that you registered into the system.

You can not use this print screen as a certificate of residence.
