Does anyone have experience with Baan Thai Immigration Solutions? To assist in acquiring an O-A visa, they charge 25000 baht for me and 20000 baht for my spouse. Does that seem reasonable?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the reasonableness of a 45,000 baht fee for visa assistance from Baan Thai Immigration Solutions to acquire an O-A visa for themselves and their spouse. Various comments reflected skepticism about the fee structure, suggesting users might be better off handling the application process independently. Responses highlighted that the O-A visa must be obtained from a Thai embassy, particularly one in the applicants' home country, and emphasized the importance of handling the required paperwork directly. Some users shared positive experiences with the support provided by the Thai embassy in Manila, while others cautioned against potential scams, arguing that the agent's fees were excessive for the services offered.
As long as you can use a computer then you can do yourself. In UK is about 50 pounds 2000 bhat. for the actual visa maybe a bit higher as not look recently.I
As long as you meet all the criteria the agent just takes 23k bhat from each of you....if you think that's reasonable then you can hopefully use an agent and get everything easy. When I used an agent for my thai girlfriend to come to UK in fiance visa we paid the agent a deposit. After four five weeks nothing had really even moved on. We dumped the agent ....did own medical booking and language test in bkk. Everything sorted in 60 days.....glad I dumped the agent and their extortionate fee. Told us would take three to six months.......that was because they were dreadful lol.
The agent was = visa to go...............more like no visa to go
Applicants have a choice whether to use a visa-agent or not. This Agent's fees are not a scam, it is their charging structure and covers staffing, overheads, knowhow in advising on and uploading documents etc. Applicants who are digitally savvy can do it themselves.
Agreed, Manilla Thai Embassy is very helpful and responsive to emails. When I was researching where to apply for my DTV they were the most helpful and responsive.
Not even remotely reasonable, since you still need to provide all the paperwork. A non-OA visa can only be obtained from the Thai embassy in your home country, and you would need to provide all the required paperwork, including medical certificate, criminal background check, proof of insurance, proof of funds. What would an agent do that can assist in that except take what you provide and upload it into the e-visa system?
Unless you are mistaken and not applying for a non-OA visa at all.
