What do I need to provide for a Residence Certificate application in Bangkok regarding the TM.30 form?

Hi folks, I've got a bit of a niche question... When applying for a Residence Certificate in Bangkok, Immigration asks for a "Copy of receipt of notification", in other words, a TM.30

Does anyone know if I need to obtain the actual TM.30 form that Immigration stamp and sign (prior to my booking time), or is the printed website page from my landlord sufficient in this instance?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Residence Certificate in Bangkok, you must provide either a hard copy of the TM.30 form stamped by immigration or a clear printout of the TM.30 notice received from the online filing system. Additionally, there may be questions about whether a 90-day report is necessary for the application, with some users noting that older information may suggest it is required, while others refer to the current guidelines indicating it may not be mandatory.

This is how it works at Chaengwattana

You go to Counter #4 and get a queue for Section B,

you apply, pay the 200 baht and get a receipt with a Thai Post EMS tracking number and they mail the certificate to you in about 5 - 7 days

you need THESE copies

no problem at all if you do NOT have #2 and #3 is the TM30 receipt

not to push my luck, but are you aware if I need a 90-day report to get a Residence Certificate?

The BKK Immigration website says "if any" implying that if I don't have a 90-day report yet I can still apply, but older posts on this forum say otherwise.

that requirement was dropped a few months ago. Now it's, if you've done one, it's required. If not, then not required.

The TM30 is where they mail the certificate of residence to so you have to have that filed at the place you're staying

You either have a hard copy of the bottom of the TM30 paper form (which immigration stamps and is your receipt of having filed in person

OR

You have the PDF print out (not a screen grab) of the TM30 having been filed online using the TM30 web-portal

This is what the TM30 online print out looks like

thanks for the info!

I gather that option two is easier as it avoids needing to process the TM.30 at immigration?

correct (y) it's done online, export the receipt and print it out
