David Broadfoot thanks for the advice. I know I'm applying early but I'd rather smooth out any problems before hand. I've just got visa to sort out and will book a hotel for first 15 days when I know if quaranteen will be required in nov but thats the million dollar question. I've 3 months booked after first 15 days are over

David Broadfoot thats exactly what I'm planning on doing. I've booked 3 months rent and hoping to extend and maybe stay longer. I think I qualify for extentions from what I've research 😁
im going to accept that offer which is a rare event i never ask for help but ill reply here and tell u what they said. Any advice on quaranteen in phuket? Seems pricey!
my original ticket is for 18th march which has been cancelled so I booked the start of the high season and hoping quaranteen will be over by then. Flight isn't till 2nd Nov but thats landing in phuket via dubai
quarantine will not be over in November thats a guarantee. and why would you pay for a visa now (if you intend to stay longer then visa exempt) and waste the Embassy's time by doing the application now for travel in oct/nov. as
pointed out, Visas are normally valid for 90 days from issuance (ie. you have to enter Thailand in that 90 days, then your stay starts when you enter).
Don't waste time and apply for your visa, in September.
And by then there may actually be flights into Phuket, as currently there are none, and only ASQ is available in Bangkok and surrounding areas. IE. Pattaya
i have a direct flight into phuket booked on 2nd nov. But yeh I thinknthe quaranteen will.still be in place and its very expensive!! I looked on line and the longest visa that I qualify for is a tourist visa which is 3 months but can be extended so I guest that was the best visa for me? I dont qualify for the none immigration visa
Is there a 3 month Visa that Thailand is currently giving out?
Not that i know of, The Tourist Visa is 60 days, which you can extend an additional 30. (but its still a 60 day visa).
As for your flight you have booked, i would consider it a flight that will most likely be cancelled, as all the flights that were scheduled to Phuket have been cancelled. Also a regular tourist visa cannot be extended past the 90 days without changing your visa type, or exiting the country. Currently people are on a 'Covid' visa extension after their tourist visa's ran out.
cheers Ryan. Thats basically what I think. Yeh I knew it was only for 2 months but hoping to extend.i think a cancellation is likely however more likely than the trip ive booked in march. I hope to be there as soon as possible
Wow, thats really far off mate. What visa are you applying for? Visas become valid the day they're issued, not when you enter. Usually its most beneficial to apply for your visa as close to your departure date as possible.
I was concerned that if for some reason it gets knocked back I won't have enough time to complete so ill do a dry run. The visa did ask me when my entry amd exit was likely
