Hi - I am just looking for advice on everything non-b visa related. I am assuming the website I apply from is [members only]/ as thats what I found on the embassy site for London, do I actually submit anything via post or is it all online?

I am just wondering if anyone had a comprehensive list of documentation I need to provide when applying as I have never done this before and really don't want to miss anything.

I found somewhere online that I need to provide a proof of residence for UK, does anyone know exactly what might cover that or if its even true? I know I'll have to submit my passport just wondering if thats enough.

Also if before I submit my application will I need to have a flight & asq booked and also my accommodation after the asq does that need to be finalised?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, for this purpose just assume I am stupid and please help me out 😅

Any help is much appreciated!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post seeks advice on applying for a Non-B visa for Thailand, specifically whether the application process is fully online through thaievisa.go.th or requires postal submissions. The user wishes to know the comprehensive list of documentation needed, including valid proof of UK residence and whether they need to finalize their flight and accommodation prior to submitting the application. Community comments respond with insights about the application process, necessary documents typically provided by employers, and clarification on the submission format.

The evisa form asks for 10 documents uploaded, not all of them seem applicable for a non-exempt TR single entry. They have a red asterisk and appear required. Does the evisa upload accept more than one page of documentation per upload? My flight confirmation is 2 pages.

At this stage only show flight details.

You need to complete the online form which is a piece of p**s and then post it with docs from your school, your passport and photo to the Embassy. Should take around a week or so. Then you apply for your COE with ASQ hotel booking and e-ticket. COE takes a couple of days.

Thanks David - the online form is just through the Thai e-visa site correct? The ASQ & flight need to be booked before I fill in the online form or I can do it after I get approval from the embassy before I apply for COE?

If you're getting a job as a teacher, the school should provide you with all the documents.

Thanks Ben appreciate the help - I have also joined this group. Do you know If I come on a Non b if the insurance only needs to be valid for 90 days or the entire length of working contract? I hadn't thought of asking that to anyone before, only got quotes for a full year

@Ryan ****
I believe it is valid for the length of the visa, which is 90 days. You'll end up getting a one year extension of stay, and most decent schools offer government insurance for their employees.

oh right yeah so the visa length originally is 90 days on a non-b? then when I arrive an application is made for the full year which is my contract length is that right? Thats cool will save me a lot of money if so, I have details about insurance through my employer but felt a bit confused as to if I needed to purchase a separate for regulation purposes or something.

they are - but do I need to make any form of deceleration/application with flight & asq details or anything else? I’m waiting for post to arrive with documents from my employer I guess It’ll have all this information I’m just wanting to get a heads up so I am prepared

You will need COVID-19 insurance valid for 90 days, a fit-to-fly certificate, and a negative COVID-19 test 72 hours before flight (if I remember correctly). You'll also need to quarantine for 15 days in a government approved hotel on arrival.

Ask on this group
