TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day report is a requirement for foreigners staying in Thailand on certain visa types, including the NON-O visa. This report must be submitted to the immigration office to inform authorities of your current address and stay duration. Expats in Phuket can inquire about the locations and specific procedures for completing this report.

I’ve been in Thailand a year on ED Visa and never heard of a TM47 before.

I’m guessing this is just an additional piece of paperwork from the hotel etc, similar to TM30?

Link isn't working for me!

So this is what? TM30? Googling what they look like online and they're all different to each other.

Is this that's in my passport the TM30? And is the example photo I sent the Tm47?

Just google „TM47 form“ or try this link:

Spoke to school and they were registering the TM47 for me, hence why I’d never seen or heard!

The document I was passing was a copy of the TM30

@Cameron ********
so

You stayed one year without doing the 90 days reports ?

TM30, not 47. Never heard of this or seen before.

if you haven't done it you can be fined the next time you go to immigration. 2k baht at immigration but can be 5k baht if the police pick up on it (only likely if you're in bother for some other reason)

I used a legit school to get the ED visa (Genius Language School, Phuket) and I've never heard or even seen them mention anything about a TM47. Just went every 3 months with TM30.

So the first time I file TM47 I'll have a years worth of fines to pay?

Edit: I wonder if I and my school have gotten the names mixed up? I've been going to Immigration every 90d with a document of where I've been staying. But I've (and the staff) have been calling it TM30.

Just googled and it seems this is actually the TM47?

@Cameron ********
only the one fine, doesn't matter how many you missed. Given you were going to immigration every 3 months for an extension are you sure you didn't do 90 day reports as part of that process?

@John *********
Aha apologies John I truly don't know now. Will message my school.

Every time there was a bug queue that I just walked past (Phuket). The school told me to go to room X and meet the member of staff and hand over the document and a photo. Just did that every 90 days.

Either way, now that you've said at most a single fine, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Not going to lie, I'm concerned that they'll think I did some kind of year overstay/no-reporting etc and revert my DTV lol. Fingers crossed...

@Cameron ********
nothing to do with overstay, that only applies to your extension. Really don't worry about it. Some people on annual extensions never bother doing the 90 day report until they go for the next extension and just pay the fine at that point

@John *********
Ah phew. I'm messaging the school now so we'll find out soon if I've been doing it wrong for a year lol.

The slip at the back of my passport says a date of 31st Jan 2567 😂

and this is 2568 😀

You would need a TM30 for both your extension and to file a 90 day report (tm47). Take a look in the back of your passport and see if there's a wee slip of paper stapled in there which would be a receipt for the 90 day notification? I find it odd that immigration wouldn't have wanted you to do the report while you were there and wonder if you just assumed it was part of the extension process
Cameron *********
@John *********
Man, the high of *just* getting my DTV approved and now worrying about this!

Back of passport: yes there is a stapled slip of paper. First time looking at this. I don't know if this came from my recent trip to Immigration to cancel my ED visa early or not though. I..e, not sure what it's for.

Seems I did assume. They just said bring the document (I still don't know if what I was taking was 30 or 47). I've pasted a photo of the document I've been taking.

Where do I stand now? Completely lost!
John **********
@Cameron ********
that just looks like an example tm30 form. It's not anything to worry about, worst case scenario is a small fine. It won't affect anything else. And immigration may not even notice
Romain ****
@Cameron ********
it has nothing to do. Tm30 is something the landlord files to report that a foreigner is staying at his property. 90 days report is your responsibility to report every 90 days to immigration to show where you stay and show that you’re still in Thailand. If you’ve never done that, you can get a 5000 baht fine if you get caught
Pete *******
@Cameron ********
it’s the Immigration form you fill in for your 90 day report. Get it at the immigration office.
Cameron *********
@Pete ******
Ah thank you. So from date of DTV issued, turn up to local immigration between the 85th to 95th day (?) with all other documents/photocopies already and then fill in the TM47 there?
Pete *******
@Cameron ********
yep, first one you do in person after that it can be done online.

when i did mine and asked, i was told not possible online for dtv (last month, jomtien immi)
