What can I do about delays in visa processing at the HCM embassy while my Vietnam visa is expiring?

Has anyone managed to get any piece of information from HCM embassy about the delay in visa processing? I've been stuck on Pending Approval status for 1,5 weeks now and my Vietnam visa is expiring soon. Looking at other groups, it seems like nobody had any decision on their application from the 19th of May.

I doubt anyone will have any information as to why applications are taking longer than they did in the past but most of the time embassies advise people to apply at least one month out from their date of arrival so 1.5 weeks isn’t that bad.

Have status pending approval since 15 May. Submitted at 7 may. This week silence last week also. Seems something wrong there.

There is a message on the portal saying its offline this weekend for upgrades, and they wouldnt be doing that if it was working perfectly (i guess)

Im currently pending approval, documents got accepted within half hour of submitting them, then silence for the past week.... im hoping that after the system upgrades we all magically get our approval.

With regard to your vietnam visa just take the bus to moc bai/bavet, if youre in hcmc it only takes a couple of hours each way. Strongly advise against overstaying....

No one is getting as of now. i would suggest to you that dont let your visa get overstayed, move out to outside of country and then come back, u will get one month again.
