We just came back from our 1st border run in Hat Lek. No lines, quite easy, but I think we got scammed. Got the exit stamp from Thailand & walked over the Cambodian side. We were told that the old price was 1,000Baths but the "new" price is 1,500B per person. AND since we were not staying in Cambodia, we were charged and extra 600B p/p. For two, the total was 4,200B .

If you fly from Thailand to Cambodia, do you still have to buy a visa?

it is what it is, you got out, you got stamped in and out of Cambodia and you got back in without having to spend 24 hours in there.

Get an e-Visa online for $$37usd pp.

Ive never paid $30 there. Had a yelling match and they​ finaly accepted $35. They kept insisting on 1500b

Ive always​ paid 300b to return same day.

And yes, you pay at the airport on arrival.

But you pay the official rate of $30.

Btw, cambodian​s get ripped at the border as well.. By both sides. Not just farang.

the e-Visa for cambodia is only good for certain entry points NOT all of them will let you in on it

Cambodian tourist visa = $USD30. 1500 baht is more like $49 so yeah that plus extra 600b, total ripoff.
