Hi, my parents are wanting to visit me in Phuket for around 2 months from NZ and are wondering about visa options. They are in their 60s. Is it possible for them to get a non O visa based on my visa? I have a non b and my husband is Thai. They are looking for the option of least hassle but with some flexibility if reentry to NZ gets delayed.
Thanks for any help.
EDIT: the visa exemption option is currently only valid until 30th september on the embassy website in NZ
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about visa options for their parents, who are planning to visit Phuket from New Zealand for around two months. They are looking for options that offer minimal hassle and some flexibility due to potential delays in returning to New Zealand. Comments suggest that although a Non-O visa may be an option, a regular single-entry tourist visa could be more straightforward, allowing for a 60-day entry that can be extended by 30 days at the immigration office. Additionally, there is mention of the Phuket Sandbox program and the current limitations on visa exemption validity.
